Very interesting. An exploration of the lives, circumstances and philosophies of Siddhartha Gautama and Socrates. Digressions into Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger, Hannah Arendt and many others.

The book is subtitled Ethical Living in Uncertain Times and the concluding sections attempt to set out a modern, secular Buddhist approach to “living well”.
