Watched: The Last Kingdom πŸ“Ί

It’s taken me nearly two years to work my way through all five seasons of The Last Kingdom (set in the 9th and 10th century British Isles). Enjoyed them all but my interest did wane slightly after the death of Alfred the Great. I still wanted to finish the storyline though.

To quote The Guardian review from 2015:

This is not a smaller-scale, less sexy, British Game of Thrones – it’s proper historical drama, and it’s a ton of fun

The film The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die is next πŸ‘€

That worked quite well for a first attempt. Slightly soggy bottom my only criticism 😁

Served with garlic roast potatoes, some soy glazed broccoli and samphire. Sunday dinner sorted!
