Watched: Masters of the Universe, 2026 - ★★★½ 🎥

I did see some of the animated series in the early ’80s and this was a fun re-visit.

Of course I know it’s not a brilliant film - and didn’t get particularly good critical reviews - but I put it in the category of fairly lightweight, well-made, enjoyable sci-fi/fantasy films that don’t take themselves too seriously. Alongside it for me would be Flash Gordon (1980), The Golden Compass (2007), John Carter (2012), Warcraft (2016), Ready Player One (2018) and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023).
