Just sorted out my deckchair and radio to settle down for a sunny afternoon listening to the cricket when … 3rd Test: England beat India by an innings and 76 runs. 🏏

At the start of play today CricViz gave England a 97% chance of winning the 3rd Test against India. By the end of play it was down to 81%. Pujara, Kohli and Rohit Sharma all played a good and patient game. Days 4 and 5 of the match could get interesting. 🏏

Green Man Festival 2021 Photographs 📷 🎵 – a Flickr album of photos straight from my old Pentax K100D camera.

It’s the first time I’ve bothered carrying a ‘real’ camera around a festival. I quite like some of the images compared to my phone photos. 😊

So good to see both English openers bat for more than half a day and both reach their half centuries. England v India, end of the first day, a close to perfect start for England. 🏏

India in England - the 3rd Test at Headingley. Another great morning and early afternoon of cricket so far. England’s bowling has been superb after India won the toss and chose to bat. 🏏

At the Green Man Festival. Thursday and Friday excellent. Saturday: it’s raining with rain forecast all day, some heavy 🌧 ☔️ 🎵 😞

Green Man 2021 🎵

Off to Green Man Festival 2021 this morning. I’ve been going to this festival since 2008. The only years I’ve missed were 2018 (holidaying elsewhere) and last year (because of the COVID-19 cancellation). Feels good to be going back now and seeing some live music - my first major event since the lockdowns.

Whilst there I usually have absolutely no phone service/signal so, unless they’ve improved the network infrastructure in the last 2 years, I probably won’t be making any online posts or photograph uploads. Although, sometimes, in the early hours of the morning when most other phones are off or not being used you can get some sort of data connection…

This year I will be taking a ‘proper’ camera for the first time rather than just a phone. I say ‘proper’ but it is a 14 year old Pentax K100D. Just have to wait and see what sort of photographs I can take with it - and if it survives the experience.

Now just hoping the weather stays good.

Stunning victory by India over England in a gripping 2nd Test and Glamorgan beat Essex to reach the Royal London One-Day Cup Final.

I’ve done little else than follow these matches since 11am this morning - better go and prepare an evening meal now 😊
