This is the toad who lives in my greenhouse πΈ
Seems like a very strange (sometimes very hot) place for a toad to want to live in but itβs been there for well over three months now. I have to be very careful when hoeing between the plants because itβs often completely buried in a well-camouflaged burrow which occasionally moves location.
Iβve been trying to get a better photograph but itβs fairly timid and makes a dash for cover whenever it notices me π

South Wales Fire Service helicopter carrying water has been repeatedly flying back and forth over our house all day today (still going now at 7pm and I think I first saw it about 8am).
According to Natural Resources Wales there’s a wildfire in Gethin Forest between Merthyr Tydfil and Aberdare, just over the side of the valley from us π₯π
Very dramatic final day in the 2nd Ashes Test π

π βA nuclear reactor of musicβ: the story of Simple Mindsβ classic album Empires and Dance π΅
Sustaining an overpowering and unrelenting mood, music, voice and words perfectly in lockstep, Empires and Dance is a Mitteleuropean psychodrama.
