@bjhess I’d say good but not brilliant. It’s quite a quick read, mainly just transcriptions of conversations beteen Murakami and Ozawa about music and Ozawa’s career.

I found Ozawa’s recollections of working with other conductors and musicians - particularly Bernstein and Karajan - very interesting but about the music itself Murakami often seemed to have a lot more to say. His knowledge seems encyclopaedic!
