Lunch at Junjira Thai Restaurant

Today we decided it was about time we had lunch at the tiny Thai restaurant in our local market hall

Aberdare market hall exterior

The food is prepared in the small kitchen right in front of the four customer tables

Dishes from front to back - Prawn Pad Thai, Tofu Pad Siew and Tofu Pad Mama, accompanied by Thai prawn crackers and spring rolls

Everything was really delicious - but a special mention goes to the Pad Thai, which was fantastic πŸπŸ˜‹

I’m certain we will be eating there again.

Greek Village Salad – Horiatiki Salata

Looks like today is going to be the last hot day of our current spell of good weather. Cooler with rain tomorrow and Tuesday. So taking the chance to continue a week of al fresco dining in the garden 😊

Went to my first Hundred cricket match yesterday, Welsh Fire v Oval Invincibles at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Welsh Fire lost by 39 runs; their batting was poor and the bowling of the Curran brothers and Sunil Narine too good. Enjoyed seeing the match but I’m still not convinced of the need for this new format of the game 🏏

I think my brain’s been manipulated by Stranger Things and that’s what I think all our childhoods were actually like … I’ve seen so much 80s nostalgia that I can’t remember what’s real and what isn’t
