Went to see Suede at The Great Hall, Cardiff University Students' Union last night 🎵. They were amazingly good, an absolutely electric gig from start to finish. I saw Suede twice in the 1990s with exactly the same lineup of Brett Anderson, Richard Oakes, Mat Osman, Simon Gilbert and Neil Codling. Last night’s performance was as good as, if not better than, those earlier days.
Great support from BC Camplight (aka Brian Christinzio).
The Suede setlist was
- As One
- My Insatiable One
- Outsiders
- We Are the Pigs
- So Young
- Metal Mickey
- New Generation
- Tides
- She’s Not Dead
- Stay Together (Brett with Richard acoustic)
- The Drowners
- It Starts and Ends With You
- Indian Strings
- Trash
- Animal Nitrate
- Another No One (Brett solo acoustic)
- Beyond the Outskirts
- The Invisibles
- Flytipping
- Beautiful Ones (encore)
- Life Is Golden (encore)
