Final Test for Jimmy Anderson ๐
So wrapped up in Euro 24 football that I forgot about cricket. Today is the start of the England v West Indies Test series.
The first Test match at Lordโs will be the final international match for Englandโs all-time leading wicket-taker James Anderson.
I will be listening to TMS on the radio for most of the day and possibly catching a little TV coverage. Just hope the weather remains clear enough for the day’s play to go ahead.
Euro 24. Spain ๐ช๐ธ v ๐ซ๐ท France. Half-time. That was an exceptional half of football, really looking forward to the second half โฝ๏ธ
I was meant to be going to a concert at Chepstow Racecourse this evening to see Hozier and Brittany Howard ๐ต
The event was cancelled by the organisers at lunchtime today due to flooding at the venue. We had very heavy rain for several hours last night. Summer in Wales! ๐ง๏ธ๐

UK General Election
Vote! ๐ณ๏ธ

If you are bored and disgusted by politics and don’t bother to vote, you are in effect voting for the entrenched Establishments of the two major parties, who please rest assured are not dumb, and who are keenly aware that it is in their interests to keep you disgusted and bored and cynical and to give you every possible psychological reason to stay at home doing one-hitters and watching MTV on primary day. By all means stay home if you want, but don’t bullshit yourself that you’re not voting. In reality, there is no such thing as not voting: you either vote by voting, or you vote by staying home and tacitly doubling the value of some Diehard’s vote.

We will chart the winners and losers and assess the new political landscape with a panel of anarchist voices. Stick on a news channel, mute their mainstream noise, and have us on a second screen for up-to-the-minute anarchist news and views.
This could be an interesting watch/listen on Thursday night. A lot of time to fill though.
