@pimoore Perhaps the bigger and more siloed the platform is the more potential there is for concern. But I still struggle (with the sort of things I post) to find a reason why. Data harvesting and marketing potentially I suppose.

I personally wouldn’t worry about Mastodon instances at present, but then I don’t delete old tweets on Twitter either.

If I had serious issues with leaving posts on any service I’d probably just stop using that service, close my account and request all my data to be purged.
