@jasraj @uncertainquark @pimoore @jasonekratz One other proviso I have to add here (before I go to bed!) is that everything I’m saying is regarding the sort of material most of us publish here on Microblog - mainly personal life/journaling posts and generally moderate opinions mixed with some tech stuff!

If, say, I was publishing political or sensitive material in/from a hostile state environment my position would be completely the opposite - I’d 100% want the option for auto-delete and maximum privacy protection. But I’d also probably be using a more secure/encrypted platform too…
