How sweet it is to sit and read the tales
Of mightiest poets and to hear the while
Sweet music, which when the attention fails
Fill the dim pause β€”

Well, South Africa best England in the T20 cricket but fail to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals. Unlucky. Now rugby - South Africa are playing Wales at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff (and it’s nice to see the stadium roof open even though it’s raining!). πŸπŸ‰

Not a satisfactory solution. Also trying to make pizza at the same time 🏏 πŸ‰ πŸ•

Saturday sports stress. ICC T20 World Cup Australia v England 🏏 overlapping with Wales v New Zealand rugby international πŸ‰

Just watched my recording of yesterday’s British and Irish Lions First Test agains South Africa, having successfully avoided seeing the result and score for 18 hours. πŸ˜€

Good game. Can now look at newspapers and news websites again! πŸ‰

Half-time France 17 - 17 Wales in Six Nations πŸ‰. Action packed first half. As a bonus I think TV coverage/camera work of French TV team is great. More up close and immediate than some UK coverage.

England 23 - 20 France in the Six Nations. Really enjoyed that - sharp, open, flowing rugby by both sides, the best game of the competition so far. Looking forward to Wales in Paris next week. πŸ‰

Wales 40 - 24 England. The rest of my household is happy. πŸ‰

Half-time. Wales 17 - 14 England. Not sure how Wales got two tries, some strange decisions by the referee. πŸ€” πŸ‰

Six Nations Wales v England starting soon. πŸ‰

Six Nations - Italy score a try against England after two and a half minutes of play 😒 πŸ‰

South Africa win the Rugby World Cup 2019. They dominated the game, outplaying England and completely strangling their game. Very well done! Finished England 12-32 South Africa. πŸ‰

England 6-12 South Africa at half-time in the RWC Final - not going quite as I’d hoped. England not nearly as composed and precise as last week and the Springboks’ power is telling. πŸ‰

Saturday morning. First prepare coffee. Next make breakfast. Then take a seat for England v South Africa in the Rugby World Cup 2019 Final. πŸ‰

Wales 16-19 South Africa in the second Rugby World Cup 2019 semi-final. Tight game, not that exciting to watch and not the result I’d have liked. Roll on next Saturday… πŸ‰

Wales v South Africa Rugby World Cup semi-final kickoff is early Sunday morning so will be sticking to trying a couple of alcohol free beers. 🍺 πŸ‰

England 19-7 New Zealand in the first Rugby World Cup 2019 semi-final. Outstanding and dominant win by England to take them to the final next Saturday. πŸ‰

Rugby World Cup semi-finals this weekend - England v New Zealand this morning and Wales v South Africa tomorrow. Still hoping for an England v Wales final for maximum tension in our household next weekend (I’m English, my wife is Welsh) 😈 πŸ‰

A day to easily get lost in sport - England v Pakistan ODI 🏏, Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion Championship play-off semi-final ⚽️ and Leinster v Saracens Heineken Champions Cup final πŸ‰.

Left the Irish bar after seeing Wales beat Ireland to get the Six Nations πŸ‰ Grand Slam. Not staying for the England - Scotland game.
