Morning walk into the hills to find waterfalls and water mills. 10am, cloudy but still hot, particularly after a steep climb. I’ve just been offered a beer by the waterfalls so of course I accepted 🚶♂️🍺

Morning walk through local forestry to a nearby scheduled monument, the Carn Castell y Meibion cairn.
I only learned of and found this site recently. It consists of the remains of a Bronze Age ring cairn.
There are two similar monument sites nearby which I’m also going to seek out.

Some views over the Cynon Valley yesterday morning whilst walking with my daughter.
The ground is drying in the good weather making paths more passable; we covered over 5 miles, including some steep climbs, in 2 hours 🚶♂️
And the skylarks were singing, which I love to hear

Today I’ve learned that Saundersfoot railway station is in the middle of nowhere, a mile and a half outside Saundersfoot, with no pedestrian footpaths alongside the lanes into the village. An unexpected walk!
